1.     20-20-20

The most popular eye exercise that is frequently recommended by eye doctors is the 20-20-20 rule. This is a simple exercise that can be performed regularly with no adverse effects.

So, here’s what you need to do. Every 20 minutes, look away from your computer or phone screen for at least 20 seconds and focus your eyes on an object that’s at least 20 feet away.

This vision exercise relieves strain on the focusing muscle inside the eye and on the muscles that are responsible for controlling eye alignment.

2.     Blinking

Yes, that’s right! It’s that easy. Blinking is one of the best eye exercises. It keeps your eyes moist, allowing you to focus longer. When people work with digital devices, they blink less. This leads to eye strain and poor vision.

So why is blinking so important? Basically, you should imagine your eyelids as the windshield wipers of your eyes. Every time you shut your eyes, the Meibomian glands produce moisture to cleanse your eyes. It allows your eyes to feel refreshed and ready to focus again. Set a timer for two minutes and blink every four seconds. Once you’ve finished this exercise, your eyes will feel less tired and strained.

3.     Eye Press

This is one of the most effective and refreshing exercises. To do this, all you need to do is - close your eyes and inhale deeply. Place your fingers on your eyelids and press lightly. Apply gentle pressure. Hold for about 10 seconds.

Let go of your eyes slowly and do not open them too suddenly. Keep your eyes open for a couple of seconds as your vision comes back into focus. Blink a couple of times to reorient your eyes. Repeat at least 10 times for maximum eye relief.

4.     The Figure Eight

This another good exercise for your eye muscles. It helps you increase your eyes' flexibility. For this, imagine a giant figure of eight (8) about 10 feet in front of you. Now turn the figure on its side. Slowly trace the figure of eight with your eyes. Do it one way for a few minutes and before switching to the other way for a few minutes.
